When it comes to fine dining, the Michelin Guide is one of the most respected and influential sources of information. The guide is renowned for its rigorous selection process and demanding standards for awarding stars. As such, a restaurant that has earned three Michelin stars represents the absolute pinnacle of culinary excellence.

The first Michelin guide to the United States was released in 2006, and since then, only a select few restaurants have managed to attain three stars. The most recent edition of the guide featured 13 restaurants with three-star ratings spread across seven states. California is home to the highest number of three-star restaurants, with six establishments receiving the coveted rating.
