How Many Michelin Star Restaurants Are There in Singapore?

Singapore is widely known for its excellent cuisine, and its Michelin-starred restaurants are a testament to that. From high-end dining experiences to casual eateries, Singapore has something to offer everyone. So, how many Michelin star restaurants are there in Singapore?

The answer is five – three of them having one star each, one having two stars and the other holding three stars. The first restaurant to be awarded with a Michelin Star was the Joël Robuchon Restaurant at Resorts World Sentosa back in 2016. This restaurant serves up French haute cuisine and is situated at the luxurious RWS Hotel Michael.

The other two one-star restaurants include the modern Cantonese eatery Yan Ting at The St Regis Singapore, as well as Labyrinth at Esplanade which specializes in creative local dishes.

In 2019, two more restaurants were added to the list of Michelin starred establishments in Singapore – Les Amis and Odette. Les Amis is located in Shaw Centre and serves up modern French cuisine; while Odette – located within the National Gallery Singapore – offers contemporary French creations. Both these restaurants have been awarded two stars each.

The most prestigious award of three stars has been bestowed upon Chef’s Table by Chef Kang at Marina Bay Sands, which opened its doors in 2020. Here, diners can enjoy a unique culinary experience featuring classical Chinese dishes with an innovative twist.

To conclude, there are five Michelin star restaurants currently operating in Singapore – three with one star each, two with two stars and one with three stars. This is a testament to the city’s impressive culinary offerings.
